Here's a compilation for solace in a crazy world. Music, as the studies of Don G. Campbell (author of The Mozart Effect) have shown, not only soothes the savage breast, but can be used to enhance well-being and even intelligence. Campbell and Joan Borysenko have compiled the anthology found on Inner Peace for Busy People: Music to Relax and Renew (a companion to Borysenko's bestselling book, Inner Peace for Busy People). Inspirational examples include the soothing "Berceuse" of Fauré; moments of transcendent beauty from Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin; a sprightly concerto by Baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni; and Vaughan-Williams's vision of pastoral serenity, The Lark Ascending. Inspirational comments accompany each track, but there is no mention anywhere of the performers or sources for these selections. --Sarah Chin
